Standard of Care for Customers

MechManage® program with its MechBinder™ management booklet addresses the following for HVACR systems:

        1.  Design
        2.  Installation
        3.  Maintenance
        4.  Documentation
        5.  Owner Education

In order to protect the standards associated with the MechManage name and image, we begin with some basic requirements for our dealers. Each new-construction home/business owner must receive the following as a minimum level of service.
  • Contractor and Local Utility Contact info
  • Clean O&M Manuals in the Booklet
  • Service Agreements Offered to owner
  • IAQ Information Must Not be Removed
  • Digital Photos of Buried or Covered Work (critical areas)
  • All Main Gas/Water Valves Must be Labeled
  • Main Equipment, Breakers and Switches Labeled
  • Homeowner's Maintenance Log Must be in Booklet
  • Customer Acknowledgement Form Must be Signed
  • All required permits (local & state) taken out and finalized

For existing/past customers many of the above noted items may no longer be available and are not required.

Bringing Definition To The Ambiguous

We also highly recommend that contractors:

Are Members of ACCA or PHCC

Have NATE Certified Techs

Provide a Newsletter for Customers

Embrace  ACCA's  QI and QM Standards

We require all contractors to be properly licensed, bonded, and insured as required by State and Local Authorities.  We will be forming an advisory committee comprised of  contractors, utilities & OEMS to help us create new "standard of care" requirements.
